Digital channels are part of almost every customer engagement strategy. Whether to use search, display or email is not a question of either / or. It’s a question of when, and of being accessible at the customer’s convenience. So too with Direct Mail. Mail has different properties and offers different options, especially when more complex messages need to be explained. Mail plays a part in the digital marketing mix, to help to boost engagement via digital channels. Integrated campaigns need holistic measurement to include the uplift from mail in the overall calculation of return on marketing investment.
