With consumers feeling the pinch, who should encourage them to think more carefully about their spending habits? Media coverage of personal finances has grown over the last decade, but is the media helping consumers to make better decisions? Financial services brands are continually evolving their comms and marketing to talk to ‘the man on the street’ as well as ‘the savvy saver’, but is this working and is it recognised by the media? We debate the topic with a panel of prominent journalists from consumer and broadcast media.
