The financial services industry is in the doghouse. There has been a plethora of bad news – bail outs, redundancies, mis-selling scandals, executive bonuses, poor performance – the list goes on. Breaking bad news is never easy but there are good, bad and terrible ways of doing it. This session will look at real world examples of how financial institutions have delivered bad news and draw lessons from successes and mistakes. We will hear from people who have been in the front line, responsible for speaking to the media, to shareholders, to customers and to employees.
