With a 20 year career broking and trading interest rate, index and energy derivatives behind him, Paul is now co-founder and CEO at Quantave, a Direct Market Access and post-trade settlement platform specifically designed to enable professional market participants to interface with the burgeoning digital assets market.
In 2012 Paul established Coinscrum, the UK's first dedicated bitcoin and blockchain networking group which has since become one of the largest of its kind in the world. Over that time the group has hosted many of the most prominent actors in the space and provided a platform for many of the key innovators to showcase their products.
In early 2014, Paul became a founding board member of the UK Digital Currency Association, a trade body that played a key role in influencing HMRC’s early and pragmatic tax guidance for digital currencies in the UK and which also proactively engaged with HM Treasury and the FCA as the subject matter started to gain traction.
