Zaid Al-Qassab is the Chief Brand & Marketing Officer of BT. BT is one of the world’s leading communications services companies, serving the needs of customers in the UK and in more than 170 countries worldwide. BT’s main activities are the provision of fixed-line, broadband, mobile and TV products and services, as well as TV content & networked IT solutions. BT operates the BT, EE & Plusnet brands in the UK consumer market, together serving over 30 million UK customers. The BT brand is valued at over $18 billion, and is the UK’s 3rd most valuable brand and second largest marketer. Zaid was educated at Oxford University, where he read PPE (Philosophy, Politics & Economics), and has also completed the Financial Times Non-Executive Director Diploma. He spent 20 years at Procter & Gamble, in marketing & commercial roles, including as Managing Director of the Health & Beauty division for UK & Ireland. Before joining BT Zaid was the Chief Marketing Officer of HouseTrip, a digital start-up which was bought by TripAdvisor in 2016. Zaid has also been a special advisor to Brandwatch PeerIndex and a SeedCamp mentor. He is committed to achieving social good and has worked for Oxfam and been seconded to the men’s health charity Movember as a marketing & media advisor. He is married with two children.
